My grandma send me some yarn for my birthday this year, and some gold thread. It sat there for a while as I did some other small projects, until I finally figure out what I wanted to do with it.
This is to fit a body of 38″ hip, 30″ waist, 38″ bust.
Yarn: 8 skeins Tahki Chelsea Silk, pink blend
Thread: 3 skeins Phildar Sunset, gold
Needles: US 4 / 3.5 mm
Gauge: 5 sts/1 in
Front:
Cast on 84 sts.
Work 22 rows garter with gold thread, these will not have a seam.
Work from Front Pattern sts: 22-26, (1-26) x 3 (sts for seaming should be added here). Work rows 1-20 four times, do not start the small cables until row 5. Only cabled sections are worked with gold thread.
Work rows 1-16.
Arm/Neck decrease:
Bind off five sts, continue with row 17 to the beginning of the center cable. Hold two sts in back with cable needle, K2tog, K1, K2 on cable needle, P1. With a new ball of yarn: P1, hold two sts in front with cable needle, K2tog, K1, K2 on cable needle. Continue with row 17 to end.
Bind off five sts, continue with row 18 to the end.
Decrease one st on each end of each section on the right side five times. Follow pattern for all cables except for the neck. For cables near neck: twist away from neck hole every other right side row. For decrease near neck: the two sts outside of the cable, right side: P2tog, left side: SSP. (The last row worked should be row 8 from the pattern).
Decrease one st on each side of the neck every right side row five times. (The last row worked should be row 18 from the pattern).
Decrease one st on each side of the neck every other right side row four times. (The last row worked should be row 14 from the pattern).
Continue with pattern for 26 rows, ending with row 12.
Place sts on st holder.
Back:
Cast on 96 sts
Work 22 rows garter with gold thread, these will not have a seam.
From Back Pattern sts: 34-42, (1-42) x 2, P3. (sts for seaming should be added here). Gold thread is not used for the rest of the back.
Work rows from pattern: 1-2, (1-24) x 3, 1-22
Arm decreases:
Bind off nine sts, continue with row 23 to the end.
Bind off nine sts, continue with row 24 to the end.
Decrease one sts on each end every right side row seven times. (The last row worked should be row 14 from the pattern).
Continue with pattern for 48 rows, ending with row 14.
Place sts on st holder.
Sleeves:
Cast on 64 sts.
Work 22 rows garter with gold thread, these will have a seam.
From Sleeve Pattern sts: (1-16) x 4. Gold thread is only used with cables.
Work rows from pattern: (1-8 ) x 16.
Decreases:
Bind off (5 sts for right sleeve)(9 sts for left sleeve), continue with row 1.
Bind off (9 sts for right sleeve)(5 sts for left sleeve), continue with row 2.
Decrease one st on each end every right side row five times. (The last row worked should be row 2 from the pattern).
Decrease one st on each end every third right side row twice. (The last row worked should be row 6 from the pattern).
Follow pattern for two rows. (The last row worked should be row 8 from the pattern).
Bind off.
Finishings:
Use a three needle bind off to connect the front and the back, casting off the sts on the back in between. (Start on left side of the back).
Sew all seams (except the 22 rows of garter on the front and back).
Sew in all ends. Block as necessary.
