Lace Waves Pullover

 

I finally finished my lace pullover, with a nice empire waist.

This is to fit a body of 38″ hip, 30″ hip, 38″ bust.

Yarn: 5 skeins James C. Brett Marble

Needles: US 10 / 6.0 mm

Gauge: 16 sts / 4 in.

Body:

Lace pattern:

Round 1: K2togx3, (YO, K1)x6, K2togx3

Round 2: Purl

Round 3: Knit

Round 4: Knit

Rounds 5-8: repeat rounds 1-4

Round 9: K2togx3, (YO, K1)x6, K2togx3

Round 10: K4, P9, K5

Round 11: Knit

Round 12: Knit

Rounds 13-16: repeat rounds 9-12

 

Cast on 180 sts, putting stitch markers after every 18 sts

Work in the lace pattern for five pattern repeats

Decreases:

*(K1, K2tog)x11, (K2, K2tog)x3 repeat from * to end of round

K3rows, keep only the round beginning marker and the halfway marker

Front: start short rows

Knit to one st before the halfway marker, wrap st, turn

Purl to one st before beginning, wrap st, turn

Work in similar manner until 9 sts are wrapped on each side. Continue with short rows by picking up the wrapped sts until all sts are live again.

Knit to one before end of front, K2tog, place marker (new halfway marker)

 

Back:

 K5, K2tog, (K6, K2tog)x2, (K5, K2tog)x2, (K6, K2tog)x2, K6, pm, K3tog, turn

Slip first st, purl to marker, P2tog, turn

Slip first st, knit to marker, SSK, turn

Repeat last two rows 11 more times

Bind off 3 sts, purl to marker

Bind off 3 sts, knit to marker

Purl to marker

SSK, knit to two before marker, K2tog

Repeat last two rows 2 more times

Continue in stockinette st until piece measures 8 1/2 inches from the arm decrease

Front: start on wrong side

Bind off 3 sts, purl to marker

Bind off 3 sts, knit to end

Purl

Knit 11 sts, wrap next sts, turn

Purl

Knit to one before wrapped st, wrap next st, turn

Continue in similar maner until 4 sts are wrapped. Work remaining 8 sts in stockinette st until piece measures 5 1/2 inches from neck shaping

Other side of neck: pick up on wrong side

Purl 11, wrap next st, turn

Knit

Continue in similar manner until 4 sts are wrapped. Work remaining 8 sts in stockinette st until piece measures 5 1/2 inches from neck shaping

Connect the front with the back using kitchener st (eight sts on each side)

 

Cowl Neck:

Pick up sts around neck (and even number ~74)

Round 1: Purl

Round 2: *K2tog, yo, repeat from *

Round 3: Purl

Round 4: Knit

Round 5: *P2tog, yo, repeat from *

Round 6: Knit

Repeat pattern 9 times total

Bind off with knit

 

Sleeves:

Cast on 50 sts using Provisional cast on in a round

Knit 8 rows

Using SSK connect the live sts with the provisional cast on to make a hem

Knit 1 row

K10, K2tog, pm, K23, K2tog, pm, K13

*Knit to two sts before marker, K2tog, repeat from *

Knit 2 rows

Repeat previous three rows 6 times (36 sts)

Knit until piece measures 17 1/2 inches from the beginning

*Knit to marker, inc 1, repeat from *

Knit 2 rows

Repeat previous three rows 7 times (50 sts)

Bind off 6 sts, knit to end of round, turn

Purl

SSK, knit to two from end, K2tog

Purl

Repeat last two rows 14 times (16 sts)

Bind off

 

Finishing:

Sew sleeves on

Sew in ends

For a tighter waist, sew on elastic to the inside of the waist (yet to be done to mine…)

    Hips= 49 1/2 which you can just do 50
    waist= 43
    bust= 46
